Why do i lag in raids

But the devs need to decide, just wait for Pheanor a rare bugtracker who works for the devs what he say about it. Madman Planetologist Posts: Stealth warfare master. I might be misremembering, but this kind of thing didn't happen earlier and i ve been using those crappy trapped hallways througout the alphas to this day.

I also was getting huge tribal raids, so it shouldn't be the size issue. I clearly remember similar situations unfold a lot differently, they were filtering into trapped tunnel one by one or however many free tiles the hallway allowed for.

I checked myself and in my game currently it happens in exactly same way, both modded and unmodded - they funnel in the tunnel, then when first of them comes out and gets shot, they all go combat mode, try unstacking, but can't as there is no free tiles for them to stand on, 1 per tile. And this basically pushes the game into turn based mode with a constant insane spam of failed pathing calculations. A big thing is also, the enemies will re-stack after de-stacking for whatever reason.

For instance: 1. No, i dont mean your colonists standing on the same tile. That was there for ages, there is even a mod that lets your pawns stay on the same tile or was one in b18 at least. I mean this buggy, laggy behavior with pawns entering hallways en masse, then breaking the crap out of PatherTick.

That wasn't a thing earlier. What you are seeing here are the rules changing. When pawns are approaching in a large group they are allowed to cluster together very closely in big clumps. However, once they enter the range of your pawns or they activate as hostile, the rules that require pawns to not share spaces are suddenly enforced, which creates the appearance of teleporting as the game corrects pawn placement for combat purposes. In other words, this is working as intended. When I'm just roaming about in the world, everything is fine.

The steps below address the most common causes: If you're using a wireless connection, optimize your internet connection to rule out a connection issue. So I basically running at x , 16 x1 multisampling, all bells and whistles turned off and sliders down to lowest possible cept for the ones that requirea a reboot of the game.

When we engaged him fps went do the 5 and below I could still move so it wasn't as bad as previously but still even at lowest settings come on now I should get better fps than that. Last night I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers that just came out on the 31st of May hoping it might fix the problem.

Nope same as previously plus I got some wierd flicker around my party bar now So as of now still in the same boat good fps when just grouping or solo play everywhere with everything high settings but when in raids still crappy fps there. So getting the new drivers didn't help at all so still waiting for what Blizzard will attempt to do fix it on thier end.

Seeing as there are like 2 or 3 blue post from them addressing this issues and they're asking to be emailed alot of system information it seems they have no bloody clue what they did all us poor souls. I agree that it seems odd to get lower fps in indoor situation.. It really tends to only happen when buffing. One suggestion would be to maybe turn down the spell detail level and see if that helps out some : side note: sometimes not turning up the options makes your fps lower because your card doesn't have ENOUGH to do I'll try putting everything back up except spell effects and see what happens tonight.

Normally I just slide everything down to lowest possible. Of course like stated in my original post and what most people are posting on this forum and the wow tech support forums people started getting these wierd frame rate issues when the latest patch from like 2 weeks ago came out. Prior to everything was sunshine and lollipops. Topher are you forcing your AA through the driver or some other way?

I am just using the drop down menu AA that is in the video menu.. Tried just turning down spell effects not much changed, turned off sounds in wow helped a little maybe got back fps but still going from 40s prior to an encounter to down to single digits while in the encounter is just sad. Since prior to the 2. Though I think the general consenus is that certain models are having this issue with wow.

Because my brother has my old comp which has a in it and he sits at like fps in raid but he's still runs smooth while on mine I run smooth and then go to utter choppiness. I done with and with out vert synch on about the same though I think off it was a little better.

Got another raid tonight will fiddle around some more and let people know. Though let me restated prior to the 2. Oh I have draw distance all the way down I always used to have it really low because sometimes I used to get a wierd graphical bug if my draw distance was too far out usually flying into shat with a really high draw distance would wig out the game and make my textures go to like base model which usually required a system reboot.

So after I put my draw distance to lowest or next to lowest that fixed the issue. Also I did also do a clean unstill and reinstall of the drivers back when this first started with the 2. I think in one of the post on the forums here someone figured most of the problems were coming from people with the later series and into the mid series cards most people with like or the s series don't have this issue.

So whatever blizzard did to the graphics engine is just effect people in that model range. Also on the blizzard forums there some people with ATI card having fps issues also. I have a gtx mb as well as the gtx in my new comp and my gtx has no problems in vista but my gtx craps out somewhat The runs it just fine as well.
